As the appointments take place in your home, I will bring everything I need with me. For Reiki, Reflexology and Hopi ear candling this will include a massage table, so you will need to consider where in your home you would like/ have room for the treatment to take place. Indian Head Massage is conducted whilst you are seated, again I will bring a suitable chair with me.

After I have introduced myself and set up any necessary equipment, I will go through the client consultation form with you. This enables me to find out a little bit about you and what you are looking for from the session. I will then explain the particular therapy you are about to have. At this stage you have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. I will then ask you to check the consultation form for accuracy and to sign your consent to the treatment, if you are happy to proceed.

Once that is done we can carry on with the treatment.

For Reiki, you will lie or sit, fully clothed and you will be covered with a blanket to keep you warm as your body temperature can drop as you relax. Relaxing music will be playing and I will invite you to close your eyes and concentrate on the music for the duration of the treatment. The treatment itself is the channelling of Reiki energy through my hands. I will place my hands gently on various positions on your body, you may experience a feeling of warmth, cold or tingling. All are quite normal and just mean that you are aware of the energy that is being channelled into your body. If at any time you are uncomfortable the treatment can be stopped.

For Reflexology, you will need to remove shoes and socks. You will then lie down and you will be covered with a blanket to keep you warm as your body temperature can drop as you relax. Relaxing music will be playing and I will invite you to close your eyes and concentrate on the music for the duration of the treatment. The treatment consists of massage and pressure techniques across both feet. You may feel slight discomfort as areas of the foot are worked. The pressure used can vary, but it should not tickle. If at any time you are uncomfortable the treatment can be stopped.

For Hopi Ear Candling, you will lie fully clothed and be covered with a blanket to keep you warm as your body temperature can drop when you relax. Relaxing music will be playing and I will invite you to close your eyes and concentrate on the music. You can either lie on your back and turn your head to one side or lie on your side. I will then light the candle and insert it gently into your ear. This doesn’t hurt as the candle only goes in a very little way. You may experience a feeling of warmth and could hear crackling or sometimes a whooshing like sound as the heat from the candle gently massages the eardrum and allows any excess wax to be drawn up into the candle. When the first candle has been burnt the process will be repeated on the other side. It is important to treat both ears, even if the problem is only perceived in one, to ensure that your balance is not adversely affected. When both candles have burnt, a short facial massage will complete the treatment. If at any time you are uncomfortable, the treatment can be stopped.

For Indian Head Massage, you will sit fully clothed in a chair and be covered with a blanket to keep you warm as your body temperature can drop when you relax. Relaxing music will be playing and I will invite you to close your eyes and concentrate on the music. The massage starts on the back, moves up the neck into the scalp and concludes on the face. You may feel some discomfort, as with all massage, as knots of tension are released. If at any time you are uncomfortable, the treatment can be stopped.

Once the treatment is complete, there is an opportunity for us to discuss how the treatment went. Both from your point of view and from what I observed during the treatment.
